Two-thirds of Council submissions are in support of the Māpua community boat ramp

The Māpua Community Boat Ramp Trust has submitted its application for resource consent for a new boat ramp, a new community building on Waterfront Park and for use of part of the parking space in Kite Park for trailer parking. Public submissions have now closed.

Tasman District Council (TDC) has received 328 submissions, of which two-thirds are in support of the proposal, and one-third are against it. In addition, 88 submitters have requested to be heard, of which 30% are in support and 70% are against the proposal.
