Revised Māpua Boat Ramp Plans
New rules are likely to be adoptd by the TDC regarding “Landing Places.”
Part 12. Swimming or diving around landing places 12.1. No person shall jump, dive, swim or undertake related activities, from: (a) within 50 metres of a landing place; or (b) within any designated anchorage; or (c) within any navigation channel; or (d) within the commercial port areas of Tarakohe or Motueka, without the prior written permission of the Council; or (e) any such areas in the navigable waters of the region as the Harbourmaster may from time to time determine, unless the person does so in accordance with the prior written permission of the Harbourmaster.
The new ramp at Māpua will be more than 50 meters from the wharf.
