The Māpua Community Boat Ramp Trust will be going house to house to conduct a survey to verify community support for the project. The survey will run from Monday 16 January until the end of February 2023. The results will be used in the resource consent application. Extensive consultation is ongoing, and has involved all iwi that are responsible for and involved with the area.
The intention is to file the resource consent in March 2023. This is being led by Davis Ogilvie Engineers on behalf of the Boat Ramp Trust. A large number of reports required for the consent process are nearing completion.
The Trustees are looking forward to an exciting year with the hope of great progress to be made in 2023. Donations no matter how big or small will make a difference in providing our community with this incredible asset.
